Cougar Carnival Chai: Assembly
Friday, April 26th | 3:30-7:30 | Lafayette Elementary School | No RSVP Needed
Meet Chai for Charity
Chai's mission is to inspire people to give in creative ways. Our belief is that everyone has something to give, regardless of where they are in life (20yo-me had no money, but lots of time; 40yo-me has no time, but some money). We work with hosts (like the Lafayette Elementary PTO) to gather their community to learn about, and invest in, local causes that matter to them. This event aims to model giving to donors of all generations by helping them invest goods and time. - Natasha, Founder of Chai for Charity
Meet your hosts: Lafayette Elementary PTO
Lafayette Elementary School’s Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO) unites families, students, teachers, administrators, businesspeople, and community leaders devoted to children’s educational success and parents’ involvement in schools. Our PTO is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit association that prides itself on being a powerful voice for all children, a relevant resource for families and communities, and a strong advocate for public education. Join us for the first annual Cougar Carnival!
Meet our nonprofits
Join us to assemble 1,000 kits to donate to local nonprofits who work with families of young children in our neighborhoods: STEAM learning kits for Wow! Children’s Museum who provides exceptional play-based learning for the diverse families of our communities; snack bags for Community Food Share whose mission is to fight hunger in Boulder and Broomfield Counties by providing access to fresh, nutritious food; and hygiene kits for the homeless for Sister Carmen whose mission is to provide assistance to residents of Lafayette, Louisville, Superior, and Erie, who are in need, without discrimination.
Your task
Join us in-person at Lafayette Elementary in Lafayette, CO for their secon annual Cougar Carnival. In addition to participating in our Chai to assemble STEAM learning kits, snack bags and hygiene kits, there will be games, prizes, food trucks, activities for kids, a tie dying station and a silent auction.
