Erin’s Mother’s Day Chai | May 7th
Meet Chai for Charity
Chai's mission is to inspire people to give in creative ways. Our belief is that everyone has something to give, regardless of where they are in life (20yo-me had no money, but lots of time; 40yo-me has no time, but some money). We work with hosts (like Erin, below) to gather their community to learn about, and invest in, local causes that matter to them. - Natasha, Founder of Chai for Charity
Meet your host: Erin Mercer
Erin has had a passion for philanthropy since she was a little girl and has evolved her ways of giving through time, talent, and goods. She aspires to make an impact in her community and now models that spirit of giving for her young children. These causes have a special place in Erin's heart: Ramstrength: Erin and the Yemm family have been friends with the Lubicks for years. Erin enjoyed selling t-shirts at the CSU Student Center when Michelle first started the nonprofit, inspired by her brother's experience. Having lost her mother-in-law to cancer, continuing to support this amazing organization that helps cancer patients and their families during their battles is very important to Erin. Lifeline Puppy Rescue: The Mercers adopted their wonderful cattle-dog mix pup from Lifeline Puppy Rescue in January 2010. Lily has been such an amazing, smart, sweet dog and is an integral part of their family. Many thanks to the wonderful work of Lifeline Puppy Rescue for rescuing Lily and her litter from Las Vegas, New Mexico. The Rise School of Denver has changed the life of one of Erin's very best friends, whose incredible daughter is a student there. She began attending Rise in August 2020 and has been thriving ever since, thanks to the exceptional instruction and care of her team of teachers and therapists. They do incredible work and make such a difference for the families involved.
