Harper Terrell’s Chai | May 20th

Meet Chai for Charity

Chai's mission is to inspire people to give in creative ways. Our belief is that everyone has something to give, regardless of where they are in life (20yo-me had no money, but lots of time; 40yo-me has no time, but some money). We work with hosts (like Jody, Davetta & Lorin, below) to gather their community to learn about, and invest in, local causes that matter to them. - Natasha, Founder of Chai for Charity

Meet Harper Terrell

At six months old, Harper was diagnosed with a rare genetic syndrome called TRIO, which impacts the development of motor skills. While she is still working hard to achieve basic milestones like walking and talking, she has made incredible progress, thanks to the work of two incredible nonprofit organizations, The Rise School of Denver and The Windmill School. Please join us in support of Harper, her family and the important work of these organizations!

Meet your hosts: Jody Frisbie, Davetta Delinger and Lorin Guadagnoli

Davetta and Jody have been friends for over twenty years, when their daughters met playing softball in middle school. They are also “bonus moms” to Lorin, who has been best friends with their daughters, and a presence in both families, since middle school.

When Harper was born and Lorin began her journey as a disability parent, Davetta and Jody provided support through prayer and solidarity. They organized a prayer circle at their church, babysat while Lorin attended medical appointments and provided endless emotional support through the ups and downs of Harper’s medical journey.

In being a part of Harper’s story, they have each been touched by her resilience and joy. Watching the Terrell family’s family journey over the years has changed their understanding of disability and inclusion, and they have given much of their time, effort and love to support Harper in achieving outcomes that defy statistics and inspire the world.
