Katie’s 40th Birthday Chai | June 5th

Meet Chai for Charity

Chai's mission is to inspire people to give in creative ways. Our belief is that everyone has something to give, regardless of where they are in life (20yo-me had no money, but lots of time; 40yo-me has no time, but some money). We work with hosts (like Katie, below) to gather their community to learn about, and invest in, local causes that matter to them. - Natasha, Founder of Chai for Charity

Meet your guest of honor: Katie Cutter

Thank you for helping Katie celebrate this (ENORMOUS) milestone. To be able to share some time with people she loves both near and far, while helping to support Cape Cod local causes, makes her transition into mid-life a little smoother. These causes have a special place in Katie's heart: Cape Wellness Collaborative: Started by Katie’s close friend, Sarah Swain, CWC helps cancer patients on Cape Cod by connecting them with integrative therapy providers (acupuncture, massage, yoga, nutritional counseling and more) so these patients can increase their well-being during their treatment and illness. Not only do they connect patients to providers, but they also cover the costs. CWC has helped so many people in our community, including personal friends of Katie’s. The Family Pantry: The Family Pantry in Harwich is remarkable! Being such a seasonal destination makes year-round employment opportunities scarce. The Family Pantry not only provides thousands of Cape citizens with food but has the goal of distributing at least 35% of all foods as fresh. They are an invaluable asset to the community. Cape Abilities: Cape Abilities empowers people with disabilities by providing education, counseling, residential, therapeutic, social and employment support. Their local farm offers organic food and flowers plus it is a great place to visit. Cape Abilities was founded over 50 years ago and continues to grow and enrich the Cape!
